The Japa Arts Initiative was created with the agenda of providing impartial advice to the Indian art collectors as well as catering to all their art-related requirements. The team comprises of professionals with work experience encompassing all facets of the art domain and is equipped to create, manage and maintain collections of varied scale and nature.


Founder's profile | Arvind Vijaymohan

Arvind Vijaymohan is an art entrepreneur, analyst, writer and advisor with nearly a decade of art consulting experience, having contributed to Indian art collections worldwide. His professional experience also includes working in a directorial capacity with one of India's leading art galleries. Born to art educationists, he grew up in a creative environment, constantly surrounded by the arts.

Working along side serious collectors, Arvind is focused on playing a pivotal role in building premier Indian art collections. He maintains a gruelling viewing schedule, travelling extensively to biennales, art-fairs, exhibitions and cultural events all over the world. An alumnus of St Stephen's College, Delhi, Arvind is an avid motorcyclist and his interests include travel, cuisine, film, collecting socks and writing.

About our name Japa is derived from the Sanskrit root jap, which means to utter in a low voice or repeat internally. It is a spiritual discipline involving the meditative repetition of a mantra or the name of God.

Art in its purest form is meant to play a meditative function and invoke the spiritual within.
